Who Was Langston Hughes?
Langston Hughes was an American Harlem Renaissance poet who lived from 1902 to 1967. His work was very committed and based on racial judgements and he spoke to people that were prejudiced and left on the sidelines of political and literary representation. Langston wrote many different works including poetry, plays, autobiographies, essays, short stories, novels, and musicals. His works of art were known to many people as some of the greatest pieces written in his time.
